4. User-Generated Content & Section 230 Protection
Reviews, ratings, incident reports, and other content submitted by users are the sole opinion and expression of the individual submitter. Allergy Safe USA is an interactive computer service as defined under 47 U.S.C. § 230 (the Communications Decency Act) and is not the publisher or speaker of any user-generated content. We are not liable for any claims arising from user reviews, including claims of defamation, trade libel, or tortious interference by restaurants or third parties. Negative reviews are a protected form of opinion under the First Amendment and applicable consumer protection laws.
5. Community Reporting & Listing Status
We reserve the right to flag, label, or suppress listings based on user-reported incidents. These labels reflect community feedback and are not independent inspections or certifications. By listing your business on this platform—whether submitted by you or added by a community member—you agree that Allergy Safe USA is not liable for any reputational harm, lost revenue, or other damages resulting from community-driven safety alerts, incident reports, or reviews, regardless of their accuracy.

Information submitted by restaurant owners or representatives (including allergen claims, protocols, and contact details) is self-reported and has not been independently verified by Allergy Safe USA. We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of owner-provided content. Displaying such information does not constitute an endorsement, certification, or recommendation of any establishment.
7. Incident & Safety Alert Notifications
Email notifications sent by this platform regarding incident reports are based solely on user-submitted information and have not been independently verified. These alerts are informational only. Allergy Safe USA makes no representation that any reported incident is accurate, complete, or current. Recipients of these emails should not rely on them as definitive safety guidance.
8. No Endorsement
The presence of any restaurant in this directory does not constitute an endorsement, approval, or certification of that establishment by Allergy Safe USA. Equally, the absence of a listing does not imply that an establishment is unsafe.
9. Email Notifications & Opt-In
By submitting a review and checking the notification opt-in, you agree to receive safety alert emails if an incident is reported at a restaurant you have reviewed, as well as occasional community updates. These emails are informational only and based on unverified user reports. You may opt out at any time by contacting us. Allergy Safe USA will not sell or share your email address with third parties.
10. Changes to This Disclaimer
We reserve the right to update this disclaimer at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Third-Party Data — USDA FoodData Central
The Allergy Safe USA Grocery Products Directory displays product, ingredient, and category data sourced from the USDA FoodData Central database (fdc.nal.usda.gov), a public database maintained by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service. Branded food data within FoodData Central is reported directly by food manufacturers and is updated continuously as manufacturers submit changes. However, there is no guarantee that product formulations, ingredient lists, or allergen declarations in that database reflect the current version of any product on store shelves.
Allergy Safe USA retrieves this data via the USDA FoodData Central API and displays it as-is. We do not independently verify, supplement, or audit any data obtained from FoodData Central. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the USDA or any federal agency.
12. Ingredient & Allergen Data Accuracy
Allergen and ingredient information displayed on this platform may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Manufacturers reformulate products, change suppliers, and update allergen declarations without prior notice. Neither the USDA FoodData Central database nor Allergy Safe USA tracks or guarantees real-time accuracy of any product's allergen status. Cross-contamination risks, "may contain" warnings, and shared-equipment disclosures are not captured in this database and will not appear on our platform.
You must always read the physical product label at the time of purchase or consumption. The label on the physical package is the only authoritative source of allergen information for that specific product lot. Do not rely on this website as a substitute for reading the label.
13. Community-Submitted Product Information
Users of this platform may submit products, allergen claims ("Safe for me too"), and store locations that are added to our community database. These submissions are the sole opinion and experience of the individual submitter. Allergy Safe USA does not verify, test, or independently confirm any community-submitted allergen claim.
